California State Senator Scott Wilk (R-21) says he was inspired to run for public office when he was on a trip to Sacramento at age 13. "I remember sitting in the balcony of the Senate saying, 'that's what I want to do.'"

In his Know Your Electeds interview, Wilk talks about Carousel Ranch and the work they do for people with disabilities. He also describes his district as "hardworking, faithful, and loyal."

Wilk has served as a member of the California Senate since 2016. He's a big fan of classic and alternative rock.
