There are 46 candidates certified for California's gubernatorial recall election on Sept. 14.
On the ballot, voters will be presented with the question, "Shall Gavin Newsom be recalled (removed) from the office of governor?"
If voters choose to do so, they can select their choice to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom from a list of all qualified candidates. Leading up to the recall election, "Inside the Issues" is recapping the 46 replacement candidates for governor.

Republican Sam Gallucci is a senior pastor at Embrace! Church in Oxnard. He also was a former software developer who was the executive vice president and general manager of PeopleSoft CRM before Oracle purchased the company. His proposals to address wildfires include "strategic deforestation, below ground power lines and modern AI based surveillance."
Chauncy "Slim" Killens is a Republican who lives in Helmet, California. He's an associate pastor who attended the Jan. 6 Capitol riot but has denounced the violence.
Sarah Stephens is a Republican pastor in Riverside County. She organized the "Redeeming America" tour to unite businesses to reopen during the pandemic.
Joe Symmon, from Orange, is a Republican and the founder of Faith Champions Church. He ran for governor as a Democrat in 2010 and described himself as "pro-life and pro-second amendment."
