With the convergence of tech, media, and entertainment in Los Angeles, commercial real estate is on fire, according to Jeff Pion, Vice Chairman of CBRE.

Historically, the area has been the home of Sony, Disney, Paramount, and other media companies. But recently, large tech, and new media companies like Amazon, Google, and Hulu are setting up shop here.

Pion tells Alex Cohen that the Southern California lifestyle and geography are particularly attractive to companies that are choosing to make Los Angeles home.

Areas that are seeing large portions of commercial real estate being occupied are in larger places like Santa Monica and Burbank, but other areas that are growing include the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles, Culver City, and Atwater Village.
