Believe it or not, sting operations in 2018 showed that 80 percent of human trafficking victims from around the country end up in Orange County.

The reason: Orange County is where the money is.

Members of the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, Sergeant Juan Reveles with the Anaheim Police Department, Michelle Heater, program director for Victim Assisted Programs with Waymakers, and Mark Lee, CEO of the Women’s Transitional Living Center, talk about who is vulnerable to trafficking, what they are doing to stop it, and what programs are available to help the victims of trafficking.

If you are being trafficked or know someone who is, you can contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text HELP to 233733. Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
