Race relations and police reform have been two dividing issues, as protests continue after the deaths of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Andres Guardado, and Dijon Kizzee.

In Focus: SoCal host Tanya McRae sits down with L.A. County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas to talk about the change he wants to see through his antiracist policy agenda. They discuss Measure J on November's ballot in L.A. County, which would allocate 10 percent of the county's revenue to community investment. The measure would include programs for youth development, affordable housing, restorative justice, and job training.

McRae also speaks to Black Lives Matter organizer Dr. Melina Abdullah about the growing movement in SoCal. She shares the importance of having non-Black allies be a part of the fight and change.
