The most recent being former Council member Mark Ridley-Thomas being sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison on corruption charges.

In his case, constituents are having a hard time coming to terms with his actions because of all the good he has done for Los Angeles’ Black and Brown communities over the decades.

This begs the question: how do you reconcile one’s legacy and contributions when they have done something unlawful?

Best-selling author and Rabbi Steve Leder joins “Your Morning” to discuss.
