LOS ANGELES — Aaminah Parker, a former foster youth who overcame homelessness and family estrangement, recently achieved a significant milestone — graduating from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Aaminah attributes a part of her success to the support and opportunities provided by Tiffany Haddish’s foundation, She Ready.

The foundation, dedicated to empowering foster care youth during their transition to adulthood, provided Parker with an internship in the entertainment industry.

Parker spoke at a prom-themed fundraising gala, attended by notable figures such as Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg and Mario, which raised over $200,000.

The funds will provide internships like Parker's, tutoring and essential resources that cultivate dignity for foster care youth.

Tiffany Haddish, who herself experienced the challenges of the foster care system, vowed to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

She Ready’s next goal is to have Haddish go to Congress to lobby for the age that youth transition out of foster care to be raised.
