LOS ANGELES — A local organization created by mothers is dedicated to providing young girls the tools they need to become empowered women. Educator and mother Sonali Bridges founded the nonprofit organization Shero’s Rise during the pandemic. It focuses on teaching girls and young women to strive for things like self-esteem and self-gratitude, while also providing them with the tools to combat negative messages in society. Sophia Tot is one of the many young girls who took part in the six-month program to boost her self-esteem.
