LOS ANGELES — After being diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, and being told he could never hold a consistent job, RJ Peete has defied expectations as a Dodger clubhouse attendant for the past seven seasons.

While he has been a welcome addition to the team, among those most happy to see him succeed are his parents, Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete. Inspired by RJ’s determination, Holly and her husband’s foundation, The HollyRod Foundation, have dedicated resources to helping those navigating autism and Parkinson’s disease.

In 2019, the foundation opened RJ’s Place, providing resources and vocational training to help young adults with autism.
