SAN DIEGO — Danielle Castillo is the supervisor of the SeaWorld Aquarium Department and is excited for Turtle Reef to inspire the next generation of conservationists. Visitors can view sea turtles up close and learn about the challenges they face in the wild. Sadly, every species of sea turtle is threatened or endangered.

Eric Otjen, the head of the Animal Rescue Team at SeaWorld San Diego, says the biggest threats sea turtles face in the wild are plastic and pollution.
