LOS ANGELES, Calif. — On Friday, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, known as LAHSA, announced the results of its point-in-time count. 

The count takes place each year to give LA County and LA City a snapshot of homelessness. 

The count found that fewer people are on the streets of LA for the first time in six years than there were a year ago.
