LOS ANGELES — Despite many efforts and historic investments to address the issue, homeless service providers and deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department fear the crisis has only gotten worse.

This week, they teamed to conduct outreach, offering people living on the streets housing, food and mental health services.
