LOS ANGELES — This week, LAUSD unveiled a first-of-its-kind program for the district: affordable housing.
LAUSD partnered with housing provider Many Mansions to create affordable units for formerly homeless and housing insecure LAUSD families.
Superintendent Alberto Carvalho attended the grand opening for the site Monday. He said that more than 15,000 students are homeless in the district, and that more projects like this are in the works.
