LOS ANGELES — Inside Safe has been Mayor Karen Bass’ signature program. Since the start of the year, 1,939 people have been brought off the streets through the program, according to the mayor’s office.

While many participants are grateful to have benefited from Inside Safe, they also say they are ready to take the next steps.
