LOS ANGELES — Mutual aid groups such as Ktown for All provide last-minute materials to Los Angeles’ homeless residents before a potential tropical storm rolls through the city.

In addition to regular outreach materials such as food, water and toiletries, Ktown for All is providing tents, tarps and zip ties to secure people’s belongings in case of high-speed winds.

Rafael López has been homeless in Koreatown for 27 years, and with the help of materials provided to him by Ktown for All, he has worked to storm-proof his shelter.
