LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Around $3.7 million in funding for three Los Angeles-area homeless services projects was approved by the House of Representatives Thursday.
The bill allocates $2.2 million for the YWCA of Glendale and Pasadena to improve and repair the campus and expand domestic violence services; $750,000 for the Center in Hollywood to build a second location for its services to assist unhoused individuals; and $750,000 for the Hollywood Food Coalition to build a community hub providing meals and services for unhoused and low-income individuals.
The funding request proposed by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Burbank, now heads to the Senate.
