LOS ANGELES — On National Methamphetamine Awareness Day, the United Coalition East Prevention Project, under the umbrella of the Social Model Recovery Systems, held a resource fair. 

Service providers connected those suffering from addiction in Skid Row to a number of services, from employment opportunities to identification cards and housing. 

Officials say the meth crisis has reached its worst in Los Angeles County history. In 2022, experts say methamphetamine contributed to 63% of all Skid Row deaths.
