LOS ANGELES — Food waste accounts for 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions, yet it’s estimated that 40% of all food is wasted.

Food saving apps like Too Good To Go are helping local grocery stores and restaurants sell discounted food that would otherwise be thrown away.
