LOS ANGELES — Despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which has halted many productions involving union actors, independent writer, director, and producer Matthew Law has brought together a team of actors to stage "True," a cinematic experience that confronts the often-taboo subject of mental health in the Black community. 

"True" aims to foster communal care through entertainment and open dialogue. 

The immersive experience combines film, theater, professional discussions, and community mixers, providing healing and laughter. 

The central theme of the production revolves around the mental health struggles Black men face. 

'True' offers a platform for meaningful discussions and showcases its community's resilience and creativity, operating within the constraints of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
