EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Jermaine Dupri is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter who has worked with everyone from JAY-Z to Usher to Mariah Carey. 

He's been a fixture in the genre since the early 1990's, scoring No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and helping put Atlanta on the map as a cultural hub.

Dupri joined host Kelvin Washington on "Your Afternoon" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
