Oscar winner Adrien Brody's new action thriller "Clean" is a passion project that explores the real-world issues of injustice, poverty and escape.
Five things you need to know:
- Adrien Brody stars as Clean, a sanitation worker with a violent and criminal past who seeks redemption after a personal tragedy.
- Clean dedicates his life to his broken community and the safety of a young girl who reminds him of his daughter. When her life is put in danger, it ignites a return to the violence he worked so hard to leave behind.
- A long-time passion project for Brody, “Clean” is directed and co-written by Paul Solet. The film also stars Glenn Fleshler, Richie Merritt, Ari Chandler-DuPont, Mykelti Williamson, RZA, Michelle Wilson and John Bianco.
- Brody won the Academy Award for best actor at age 29 for “The Pianist” in 2003, which made him the youngest actor ever to win in that category. To prepare for his title role, he learned to play Frédéric Chopin pieces on the piano.
- Brody played a billionaire activist in season 3 of “Succession.” He will star as former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Pat Riley in HBO’s upcoming drama series about the team in the 1980s.
