EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — While things are finally starting to look up, the past year has still managed to devastate the restaurant industry.

Raising Cane's felt some of that pressure, with dining rooms closed and sales down. But the popular food chain was able to bounce back quickly and is now paying it forward with a new show, "Restaurant Recovery."

Grammy Award-winning rap superstar Nelly and Raising Cane's founder Todd Graves joined Kelvin Washington on "Your Afternoon" on Spectrum News 1 to discuss their work on the series.

Nelly discusses how he got involved in the show and his desire to help struggling businesses. He weighs in on being more than a musician and developing into both an entrepreneur and business owner.

He also shares who he enjoys listening to and describes his latest musical project.

"Nelly to the Rescue" airs Tuesday at 5 p.m. on the Cooking Channel. You can also catch up on all "Restaurant Recovery" episodes now on Discovery+.
