We caught up with the two main stars of the new romantic comedy, The Right One to talk about Valentine's Day and the hard knocks of being a performer in Hollywood.

Five Things You Need to Know:

  1. Hulu's The Right One follows "Sara," a novelist struggling with writer's block and in need of inspiration. She meets "Godfrey," a down-on-his-luck oddball who constantly changes personas and alter egos in order to cope with his past and avoid reality. Just as Godfrey begins to open up to Sara, he discovers that she's been using him as inspiration for her next novel.
  2. Sara is played by Australian actress, Cleopatra Coleman. She is known for playing "Erica" on the network comedy series, The Last Man on Earth and "Rya" in the Netflix original sci-fi thriller In The Shadow Of The Moon. She is a film and television actor, writer, singer-songwriter, and DJ. She is also a trained ballet and contemporary dancer.
  3. Nick Thune, who plays Godfrey, is an actor, singer/songwriter, and comedian. He has performed on The Tonight Show eight times, and has done a few comedy specials for different networks. On TV, Thune has made guest appearances on the comedy programs Traffic Light and Happy Endings in 2011 and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.  On the big screen, Thune has had small roles in the movies Knocked Up and Unaccompanied Minors and starred in the film People You May Know.
  4. When it comes to Valentine's Day, Thune admits to being a romantic, but if you ever go out on a first date with him, he says, "I’m always a romantic, I always bring a gift and a card and the card has a review thing in there they can fill out if they need to and then I Venmo them like $15."
  5. Coleman co-wrote, executive-produced, and starred in the short film Trains, the first project for Coleman/Coleman productions, created by Cleopatra Coleman and her father. She also wrote, produced, as well as starred in the environmental sci-fi thriller Hover for Syfy Films.  She says "it was something I did to feel empowered, because of all the rejections and because it’s such a crazy roller coast you want to feel like you're in the drivers seat of your own life and I think waiting by the phone as an actor, I didn’t find dignity in that. For me, I just love storytelling, I love filmmaking, I’m so happy on the set, I’m the most happy when I’m in the throes of creativity, so the more I can do that, the happier I am and I want to look back on my life and say I really did it. It’s such a beautiful collaborative art, often time I look around the set and see all the different kinds of people and they are different departments and everyone is looking together towards a shared goal and I wish the world could be more like this."
