Just in time for the holiday season, the chart-topping pop singer JoJo has released a personal collection of festive songs titled December Baby.
We caught up with the award-winning artist to discuss her first Christmas album.
5 Things You Need to Know:
- December Baby contains five original songs, plus JoJo’s take on the classics, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Silent Night." Her album features Jacob Collier and also PJ Morton, who won a Grammy this year for his duet with JoJo titled "Say So."
- On October 2, JoJo released a song titled "The Change," written by Diane Warren, to serve as the official anthem for President-elect Joe Biden's 2020 campaign.
- The 29-year-old Boston-born, L.A. resident is already a music veteran, having become the youngest solo artist to ever have a debut #1 single in the U.S. at age 13.
- In 2016, following a 10-year legal battle with a former label that prevented her from releasing new music, JoJo returned with Mad Love, which debuted in the top 10 on Billboard's Top 200.
- In addition to her music career, JoJo has also pursued acting. In 2006, she made her on-screen feature film debut in Aquamarine, followed by R.V. alongside Robin Williams.
