LOS ANGELES (CNS) — The animated family film "The Croods: A New Age" kept its spot atop the North American box office again this weekend, grossing $3 million in its third week of release despite reduced theater capacity amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to industry estimates released Sunday.

The comedy "Half Brothers" was a distant second for the second straight weekend with $490,000, Comscore reported.

The horror comedy "Freaky" was third in its fifth week of release, taking in $315,000 Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada.

"The War With Grandpa," a family comedy in its 10th week in theaters, was next with $266,864, followed by the romance "All My Life," which grossed $215,00 in its second week.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were "Come Play" ($175,000), "Die Hard" ($136,000), "Honest Thief" ($135,000), "Tenet" ($125,000) and "Let Him Go" ($120,000).

Indoor movie theaters in Southern California are closed indefinitely due to the pandemic, leaving only limited outdoor screenings.
