LOS ANGELES (CNS) — The rapper Roddy Ricch and The Weeknd each scored eight American Music Award nominations Monday, followed by Megan Thee Stallion with five nods and Bad Bunny, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift with four apiece.

The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 22. The winners are voted by fans, and the award show is seen in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.

Pop singer and AMA nominee Dua Lipa, who will be among the performers at the ceremony, announced nominees in three categories live on ABC's "Good Morning America," and the rest were announced via Twitter.

Two-time AMA winner The Weeknd and Ricch both earned a nomination for the most coveted award, Artist of the Year, as did Bieber, Post Malone, and Swift, who is the current record-holder for most wins in the category with five.

Swift could also break her own record for most AMA wins of all time, 29, should she win in any of the four categories she's nominated in.

First-time nominee Megan Thee Stallion was the most nominated female artist this year. She's in the running for New Artist of the Year and in four other categories, including Collaboration of the Year.

With Latin and R&B/Hip-Hop genres achieving crossover success this year, the AMA categories are being expanded. The new categories include Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Male Artist (Rap/Hip-Hop); and Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Male, Favorite Album, and Favorite Song (Latin).

Voting is now open for all AMA categories. For more information, visit TheAMAs.com/Vote.
