Headlining the new suspense thriller, Alone, Jules Willcox is taking her first turn in a starring role in a major picture. The actress believes the industry is showing signs of more inclusion for women, both in front of and behind the cameras.  

Five Things You Need to Know: 

  1. Apart from this role, Willcox is perhaps best known for her characters in Dreamkatcher and Bloodline.
  2. Born and raised in Missouri, Willcox admits being trustworthy and says if she were put in her character's situation she, "would definitely help a man on the side of the road, I don’t know, I probably would have helped him." 
  3. Willcox broke her foot the second week of production and was in a boot during the rest of the shoot. The injury was incorporated into the script.  
  4. The director decided to shoot the entire movie in order. Meaning Willcox's whitewater rapids scenes had to be performed with a broken foot. Her stunt coordinator needed to carry her into the freezing water for each take.
  5. To increase authenticity, they shot the film in November in the Pacific Northwest.
