Two-time Oscar nominee Jackie Weaver plays a very different role, as a conservative church choir director in the new movie, Stage Mother. Previously, she was recognized for her dramatic work in Animal Kingdom and Silver Linings Playbook, but she started her career on stage, singing.

- Weaver, 73, has at least four other projects on hold during the pandemic, including big screen pictures Penguin Bloom, and I Never Too Late, as well as the TV series, Bloom.
- When it comes to passing the time during a pandemic, Weaver says, "My husband and I read a lot, we’ve been locked up since the 6th of March and we really don’t go out that much, we walk the dogs, we are kind of coping. I’m eating too much, I’m getting fat."
