Kiefer Sutherland is back. The 53-year-old actor is starring in an all-new Quibi series titledThe Fugitive.

Although this sounds like a remake of the popular Harrison Ford film that shares the same title, Sutherland assures viewers that there are indeed some differences.

"It's not a remake of the television show or of the Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones film but it is a remake of the idea of an innocent man being hunted for a crime that he didn't commit," Sutherland said.

"This is the post 9/11 version, terrorism has hit America and that is a reality and technology has grown leaps and bounds so there are cameras on every corner and as that is meant to help us, it can also mislead us and our story takes off from there," he said.

The 14-episode series follows a blue collar man suspected of a subway bombing in Los Angeles. With faulty evidence on the ground and “tweet-now, confirm-later” journalism paints a nightmarish picture, as a legendary cop heads the investigation to apprehend him.

Sutherland's co-star Boyd Holbrook who recently co-starred in Netflix's Narcos, starred In the Shadow of the Moon and played the villain in Wolverine now plays opposite Sutherland and has nothing but praises for the actor, saying "To work with Kiefer who was an actor who I idolized since I was a young kid, and one of the reasons I wanted to become an actor, and to get on set and to see that happen was something that would last a long time."

Sutherland's last big screen movie was in 2017, playing Dr. Barry Wolfson in Flatliners and on the small screen he played Tom Kirkman for three seasons of ABC's Designated Survivor.

The Fugitive is available now on Quibi.
