HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - No one is a morning person in this household, but with Emmy nominations set to be announced, it’s a family affair, with the whole clan up bright and early.

“Let’s see what happens girls,” said actress Taryn Manning, speaking to her three little dogs.

Manning is one of the stars of the Netflix hit, Orange is the New Black.

The show garnered 12 Emmy nominations its first season, winning three. It’s been critically acclaimed and a fan favorite ever since.

Today, Manning is watching this year's announcements, wondering if her show will get some love.

“It’s the end of the seventh season, an amazing journey. Maybe this will be a good little treat,” she said.

Seven seasons, and it hasn’t lost its punch. A new MoffettNathanson-commissioned poll conducted by HarrisX of 11,135 U.S. subscription-video service users revealed users surveyed say Orange is the New Black is their favorite show on the platform, with Stranger Things coming in second.

“I think the writing. It’s impeccable, and what they do in the writer’s room and the justice they give all these characters. You’re rooting for them,” she said.

In the end, Manning didn’t receive a nomination. Actually, the show only got one nomination this year, for guest actress Laverne Cox.

Still Netflix is on fire. It got 117 nominations, second only to HBO, which it beat last year. And Manning is proud to be a big part of that.

“I do think we paved the way for that network along with some others. I think if you’re on a Netflix series you’re guaranteed to have a good run, a good career,” she said.

So whatever happens next, Manning is not quite sure. But she knows she’ll have the whole clan cheering her on - even if they have to get up really early for it.

Orange is the New Black's seventh and final season will be released on July 26.
