LOS ANGELES — In the wake of historic strikes that shut down the second largest school district in the country, Los Angeles Unified School District and Service Employees International Union Local 99 move into the next stage of ratifying their new agreement.

Both the district and the union credit LA Mayor Karen Bass as being instrumental in helping them come to a resolution.
