LOS ANGELES — Watching a rehearsal at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, the memories come flooding back to alum Taran Killam.

Now, Taran’s famous for the likes of Saturday Night Live and How I Met Your Mother. About 20 years ago, though, he was doing this – studying his craft of the arts at the prestigious LACHSA.

LACHSA was founded in 1985, where college-prep academic instruction meets conservatory-style training in the visual and performing arts. It’s an award-winning public school, but one you have to audition for. And its list of celebrity alumni is vast — from Josh Groban to Corbin Bleau to Haim to Phoebe Bridgers.
