LOS ANGELES — Taste of the Caribbean LA in Hollywood has been offering writers and actors free meals when production studios shut down after the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes began in the spring.

The restaurant serves food from the islands. Actress Rachel Kylian grew up in the Comoros Islands and appreciates not only the authentic food but also the gesture from chef Bernard James.
