PALOS VERDES, Calif. — Recently, the federal government granted Palos Verdes the distinction of being AVA certified — American viticultural area — making it one of the country’s newest wine growing appellations.

It’s the perfect climate to grow pinot noir and chardonnay grapes.

Spectrum News visited two vineyards in Rancho Palos Verdes, who can now mark their wine bottles as “Palos Verdes grown.”
