ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Savi’s Workshop, a shop where visitors can build their own Star Wars lightsabers, will soon reopen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The experience, which is located in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge section of the theme park, will be available starting September 20. Visitors can begin making reservations for the experience on September 16.
At Savi’s Workshop, visitors build their own lightsaber under the guidance of a group of instructors called the “Gatherers.” Lightsabers can be built with one of the four themes: Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, and Protection and Defense.
With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the experience will be modified with new health and safety protocols, including reduced capacity and physical distancing.
Since reopening its parks in July, Disney World has required visitors make park reservations in advance. Visitors are also required to wear face masks and undergo temperature checks before entering the parks.
