LOS ANGELES — Under artistic director Natasha Middleton, the Pacific Ballet Dance Theatre preserves the legacy of the Ballets Russes of Monte Carlo.

Middleton trained with her father, Andrei Tremaine, who danced with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo and started the PBDT.

The PBDT returns Sunday to Glendale’s Alex Theatre for the first time since 2019, with a program featuring the music of Armenian composer Aram Khatchaturian, as well as Sergei Rachmaninov, and Ludwig Minkus.

Also featured are principal dancers Eduard Sargsyan and Irina Gharibyan and pianist Mikhail Korzhev.
