HIGHLAND PARK, Calif. — Founded in 2011 by artistic director Josh Shaw, Pacific Opera Project (POP) performs in various venues, both indoors and outdoors, producing close to 50 operas in just over 11 seasons.

POP reaches over 40,000 audience members, with innovative takes on opera classics from Mozart to Gilbert and Sullivan. 

POP recently found a new home base of operations in Highland Park which will serves as rehearsal space and an events hub for the company. 

POP’s closes its current season with a mounting of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, being performed at Glendale Forest Lawn.
