LOS ANGELES — "Coded: Art Enters the Computer Age, 1952–1982" explores how the rise of computer technology, together with its emergence in popular consciousness, impacted the making of art in the age of the mainframe.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art was recently gifted a collection of blockchain digital artworks by a donor with the alias Cozomo de’Medici, the largest such collection at a U.S. museum. No one knows the true identity of the donor.
The gifted collection comprises 22 digital works by a diverse group of international artists.
