Veteran actor Lawrence Fishburne is bringing attention to social issues in his latest project. In Quibi’s #FREERAYSHAWN Fishburne portrays a New Orleans police officer trying to help an African American war vet held up in his apartment after an altercation with another police officer.
The 59-Year-Old Actor has been working for nearly five decades now and embraces projects that tell stories about Black history. Fishburne said, “I haven’t shied away from it because it is a part of my reality as an African American person in this country. I am subject to the same treatment and mistreatment as other African Americans and other people of color in this country and in the world, so it’s my story.”
#FREERAYSHAWN is streaming now on Quibi.
