Meet the team that will represent New York in the “Spectrum News Challenge.”

Rachel

High School: Northville Central High School

Accomplishments: Rachel is in the school’s marching band and chorus, a member of the drama club, and active in the school’s theater program.

Fun Fact: Rachel plays on the school’s soccer team.

JJ

High school: Manlius Pebble Hill High School

Accomplishments: JJ participates in the school's model United Nations team. He is captain of the varsity track and cross-country team, and an officer of the Spanish club.

Fun fact: JJ runs a podcast called “History Heat” where he discusses historical events and their implications on the modern day world.

Lucas

High school: Marion Junior/Senior High School

Accomplishments: Lucas is a member of the National Honor Society, competes on the varsity golf team and sings in the school’s show choir.

Fun fact: Lucas is in the top 100 swimmers in New York in multiple swimming events.
