LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday for the 13th time in 14 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.131, its highest amount since March 29.

The average price has risen 5.3 cents over the past 14 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.7 cents more than a week ago and 10.2 cents higher than one month ago but 63.4 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 48.4 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose for the 14th time in 16 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.112, its highest amount since March 27. It has increased 5.7 cents over the past 15 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
