We are celebrating the Lunar New Year this month and 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. The Chinese Zodiac predicts change and bold action this year.

For "The SoCal Scene's" Melvin Robert, that meant getting in on the action and making dumplings at Luscious Dumplings in the San Gabriel Valley, which has been called the "New Chinatown."

Mel also paid a visit to "old" Chinatown in downtown LA, where he got a bit nostalgic over a piece of cake at the iconic Phoenix Bakery, which was part of Mel's childhood. He was very excited as they even let him into their kitchen.
