L.A. County Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer and her team have been leading the charge against COVID-19 since early January. Since then, much has changed with Ferrer and other public health officials facing threats from the same people they are trying to protect. Ferrer opens up to SoCal in 17 host Alex Cohen about the pressure she has endured while on the frontline of the coronavirus fight. They also discuss what it means to adjust to the “new normal.”

Producer Esther Lee then joins to weigh in on her idea of a “new normal.”
