EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla spoke at a news conference Monday regarding the mass shooting in Monterey Park on Saturday night.

He emphasized the importance of working together to address “the epidemic of gun violence in America.”

“The community is resilient, and the community will rebound,” Padilla added.
