DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. - An art exhibit called Wisdome in downtown Los Angeles is where videos are projected high up onto the domed ceilings.

Visitors like Elena Landa and her 8-year-old son Akiva walk under and through the art. Some of the projections you can move and change with your body.

It’s dark inside the domes. The colors continuously change. The visuals are meant to look trippy and psychedelic.

While it might seem edgy, children are allowed in all parts of the art park.

Akiva was born and raised in California. His mom Elena is from Kyrgyzstan. She’s been in Los Angeles for about 15 years.

Normally you’d have to go to the Coachella or Burning Man music festivals to see this artist’s work, virtually impossible for a young family.

“You just stop thinking and you start feeling what’s happening around,” said Landa.

The artist Android Jones came back to the art park last week to show how he creates virtual worlds. Jones is the father of two young ones.

“Seeing families here is actually one of my favorite parts about it because it’s just great giving the whole family unit access to this type of experience,” said Jones.

There are five domes that kind of look like huge igloos, all situated on 35,000 square feet in the arts district. The largest dome is 90 feet across.

Some think it is a relaxing experience.

“He’s generally a hyper kid, but he came here and calmed down so much,” Landa said.

The exhibit will be up for the rest of 2019.
