DANA POINT, Calif. — Shortly after 9/11, Daniel enlisted in the Marines. He did multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, but behind the pride he felt in serving the country, the devastation Daniel witnessed while in combat took a toll on his mental health.
He’s now on a mission to help other fellow veterans heal and find their purpose through international volunteering. Coming back from deployment in 2013, Daniel was diagnosed with PTSD, hitting an all-time low when he tried taking away his own life.
That’s why 10-years later he started his organization called Peace for Warriors, an organization helping veterans with PTSD fall back in love with the world through international volunteering.
