COSTA MESA, Calif. — Navigating college is challenging enough, even for students who can rely on advice from loved ones who have already been there. But it takes on a new level of difficulty when you’re from a minority background and the first in your family to pursue higher education.
Vanguard University, a nationally designated Hispanic-serving institution, has created a specialized course to set these students up for success in college and beyond. A course used as an intentional way to create a sense of belonging for Latinx students in higher education.
