Total Eclipse of the Zoo: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Akron Zoo
The zoo will feature a number of activities including crafts, education stations, demonstrations and even a NASA broadcast at the zoo's Nature's Theater. The zoo will also provide guests with viewing glasses and a limited supply of special viewers for those who may cannot wear them due to sensory needs.
Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Party: 12-4 p.m. on April 8 at the main library
There will be free glasses available while supplies last. This event will feature a watch part a the outdoor amphitheater and an indoor NASA livestream in the auditorium.
Avon Lake
2024 Avon Lake Total Solar Eclipse Watch Party: 8 a.m. — 5:30 p.m. at Avon Lake High School Memorial Stadium.
This all-day, ticketed event will feature a single pair of glasses per admission, a live stream of the eclipse on screens while it crosses the U.S., food trucks, a local astronomer and more. Early bird prices are $15 for admission and will be $25 after the early bird special.
Burton
The Great Geauga Total Solar Eclipse: 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Geauga County Fairgrounds
The event will feature eclipse-themed merchandise, science projects, photo opportunities and other activities. There will also be food trucks available.
Celina
2024 Eclipse Festival: April 6-8 at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
This multi-day event will feature camping, music, art, vendors and more. There will also be a group of wood carvers carving a giant over a five-day period.
Carey
Totality Ground Zero: 12-5 p.m. on April 8 in parking lot of Memorial Park
This family-friendly event will feature food trucks and live music. There will also be eclipse merchandise available.
Cleveland
Total Eclipse Fest 2024: April 6-8 at North Coast Harbor
This is a free, outdoor event for the whole family hosted by the Great Lakes Science Center, partnered with NASA's Glenn Research Cennter, will feature a community concert by the Cleveland Orchestra on April 7. There will also be food available and a limited number of the specialized glasses needed to view the eclipse safely.
Total on the Oval: 10 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. April 8 at the Wade Oval in University Circle
There will be live music and activities at the event hosted by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and University Circle community.
Columbus
Solar Eclipse Solar-bration: 12 p.m. — 4 p.m. April 8 at the Columbus Zoo
The event will allow visitors to complete activity stations, meet character ambassadors and can distribute a limited amount of viewing glasses.
Celebrate the 2024 Solar Eclipse with COSI: April 8 at the Center of Science in Industry
COSI is hosting a variety of events throughout the day, featuring hands-on activities that for entertainment and education. They will also be distributing thousands of viewing glasses.
Eclipse Watch Party at Land Grant with COSI-Science: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 8 at at Land-Grant Brewing Company
The event will feature special drinks, interactive experiments with COSI, music, food trucks and more at the brewing company. Eclipse glasses will also be available.
Solar Eclipse Day on the Rooftop: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 8 at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum
This event features activities such as designing your own military and NASA patch, drawing a perspective of the sky and also includes giveaways.
Cuyahoga Falls
EclipseFest 2024: 12-5 p.m. in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls
This event will feature live music, food, a craft market and entertainment for kids and adults. The website cautions attendees that parking may be a challenge and recommends riding a bike or walking if possible.
Dayton
Total Eclipse Party: Suggested 2 p.m. arrival time on April 8 at Unity of Dayton
This location in Dayton will offer space for yard games or even a picnic and will feature a prayer and meditation service during the eclipse event.
Solar Eclipse Day at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force: 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. April 8
This all-day event will feature various hands-on activities and presentations from experts. There will also be food trucks present.
Fairfield
Total Eclipse in the Park: 1:30 p.m. — 3 p.m. at Village Green Park
This event will feature activities for kids as well as giveaways.
Greenville
Total Eclipse on the Prairie: 1-5 p.m. on April 8 at the Shawnee Prairie Preserve
This event will feature live music and food trucks. Tickets are per vehicle and include a set of glasses per person with a limit of six.
Hamilton
There Goes the Sun: Eclipse Watch Party: 2 p.m. — 4 p.m. at Forest Run MetroPark
This event will focus on the science of the eclipse via hands-on activities in addition to the viewing party. Registration required as space and glasses are limited. The price is $5 for anyone above the age of 2.
Harrod
Total Eclipse Party: 12-5 p.m. on April 8 at the Harrod Event Center
This family-friendly event will feature live music, food, shoping and even bounce houses for entertainment while waiting for the spectacle. Parking will open at 8 a.m. and will cost $5 per vehicle.
Liberty Township
Solar Eclipse Party: 2 p.m. — 4 p.m. at Liberty Center
Attendees here will have access to a mad scientist show, themed cupcakes, astrology readings, music and more entertainment. There will be free viewing glasses as supplies last.

This event boasts the beauty of the venue’s gardens, educational activities for children and a discount at the gift shop. They will also have a limited number of viewing glasses available.

Restaurant guests can book a patio table for viewing, and the parking lot will be opened for additional space.

Mentor Eclipse Watch Party: 1 to 5 p.m. at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater
The city of Mentor will be hosting a watch party with food, games, activities and video screens showing the eclipse's progress.

Party in the Dark: A Solarbration: 12 p.m. — 8 p.m. at Monroe Community Park
This event will feature food trucks, music and even a play area for children. Glasses will be provided to the first 4,000 attendees.
Mt. Gilead
Solar Eclipse of the Heart: April 8 at the Morrow County Fairgrounds
The fairgounds feature more than 130 acres of viewing space. They will be charging $15 per non-local vehicle entry and $10 per local vehicle entry. The event will feature a variety of activities, and camping is also available.
Norwalk
Moon over main street: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April 6-8 at 10 W Main St.
Spend the day (or the whole weekend) on the town's main street visiting restaurants and shops as the town preps for the four minutes of totality.
Oxford
Total Eclipse of the Parks: 1 p.m. — 5 p.m. April 8 at Uptown Parks, Oxford Community Park and Sculpture Park at the Richard & Carole Cocks Art Museum
The multi-location event is part of a larger weekend full of events in Oxford, Ohio. The city notes that the eclipse will last about 3 minutes and that a limited number of glasses will be distributed.
Sandusky
Total Eclipse of The Point: 12 p.m.-6 p.m. April 8 at Cedar Point
The park calls this a “once-in-a-lifetime celestial celebration” at the park, which falls right in the path of totality. Some rides will be available, along with food and drinks and games. The park is selling different packages, with the $99 and $120 tickets still available. The $200 VIP package is sold out.
Toledo
Total Eclipse at the Zoo: 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. April 8 at the Toledo Zoo
The zoo will be featuring numerous activities including music, meet and greets and animal demos. Visitors will also see staff studying the animals to see behavior changes during the eclipse.
Total Eclipse of the Park: 1 p.m. — 4:30 p.m. April 8 at Glass City Metropark or Oak Openings Preserve Metropark
The parks tout a fun, safe viewing of the eclipse and require no reservations for either location. At Glass City, you’ll be able to see the eclipse with solar-filtered telescopes, and at Oak Openings Preserve you can speak to a naturalist about the phenomenon.
Urbana
Come Raise a Toast to the Eclipse at the Champaign County Fair: Starting at 3:10 p.m. April 8 at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana
This fairground will host a camping event that will also include a toast during the eclipse. Tickets are on sale for the camping permits, ranging from $200 to $300.
Westerville
Total Eclipse Viewing Party: 2 p.m. — 4 p.m. April 8 at Hoff Woods Park
The first 500 guests at this family-friendly will be given a gift bag at this event with themed snacks. Also, a limited amount of glasses will be distributed at the event and prior events at the Westerville Public Library.
Westlake
Total Eclipse of the Park: 2 p.m. — 3:30 p.m. April 8 at Crocker Park
Crocker Park calls itself a prime viewing sport and notes it will make available glasses for safe viewing of this event. There will also be live music from Apostle Jones and food and drinks, in addition to the sales at the shopping center.
West Liberty
The Darkness Tour: 9 a.m. — 5 p.m. on April 8 at the Ohio Caverns
Tickets for this event include a tour through the caverns as well as a pair of eclipse viewing glasses. Children between 5 and 12 will also receive a gem bag.
