Hilliard, OH -- New Market Brewing In Old Hilliard

A Florida-based brewery plans on expanding right here in Ohio and they hope to add a market full of vendors with it.

"We we're looking for a suburb, again a suburb-type family setting and we looked at a few different cities and when Hilliard offered us the location downtown, it became a no brainer. That was the perfect place to be," Robert Fry said.

  • Downtown Old Hilliard Location
  • Ten Local Vendors
  • Plan to Break Ground in March

Fry is one of three partners involved in building a second location for Crooked Can Brewing Company. The first is located in Winter Garden, FL. The site, which is located at the intersection of Center and Wayne Streets in Old Hilliard will also house at least ten local vendors with additional vendors setting up shot during weekend famer's markets.

"The walkability of the city, the bike path that comes right in right across the street from the ampitheater and the splash pad where they hold a lot of events and we just felt like it was the perfect fit," he said.

Fry said they plan on breaking ground in March with the hopes of September completion date.

Kyler Shultz has lived in the area for years and said he's excited for what's to come.

"It used to be that you come down to Old Hilliard and there's pretty much nothing to do," he said. "Watching how it's changed; we've got coffee shops, we've got restaurants, all these different things have come in and really made a difference and made it a place that you want to go."
