Ohio -- Rep. Troy Balderson Wins Re-Election For 12th Congressional District

Republican Congressman Troy Balderson celebrated his re-election Tuesday night, only three months after first being elected to the 12th Congressional District.

Balderson narrowly defeated Danny O’Connor last August during a special election. The midterm was different. In August, Balderson won by less than 2,000 votes. On Tuesday he won by close to 16,000 votes.

“"It was very tough, but he's been gracious and I'm going to work with Danny and I'll reach out to him,” Balderson said.

The Representative told reporters that his number one priority is growing the economy.

“Keeping this economy moving forward. This economy is unprecedented right now,” he said.

Balderson will be sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives again on January 1.
